Privacy Policy
How WALinkGen handles information across the generator, optional short links, contact form, site preferences, and third-party services.
Last updated: June 10, 2026
This policy explains what information may be processed when you use WALinkGen. The data flow depends on whether you create a standard link locally, request an optional short link, submit the contact form, or open a third-party service.
Standard link generation
The standard generator processes the selected country code, phone number, optional message, and optional campaign fields in your browser to assemble a link. Creating and copying that standard link does not require an account. The input does not need to be sent to WALinkGen's server for the local generation step.
Optional short links
If you choose an optional short-link feature, the destination link is sent to the site's server and stored so the short URL can redirect visitors later. A destination link can contain the phone number, pre-filled message, and campaign values that you included. Do not place confidential or sensitive information in a link you intend to shorten or share publicly.
Contact form submissions
When you use the contact form, the name, email address, topic, and message you provide are submitted through the website's hosting provider. This information is used to review the request, respond where appropriate, prevent abuse, and maintain a record of the conversation. Avoid sending passwords, payment details, private chat histories, or other sensitive information.
Language preference
If you switch the site language, the preference may be stored in your browser so the interface can use the same language on a later visit. You can remove locally stored preferences through your browser settings.
Hosting and security logs
The hosting platform and network services may process routine technical data such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, timestamps, and diagnostic or security events. These logs help deliver the site, investigate errors, protect the service, and detect misuse.
Analytics and advertising
Analytics or advertising services process data only when they are configured and active on the site. If enabled, those providers may use cookies or similar technologies to measure visits, prevent fraud, report performance, or personalize content and advertising according to their settings and applicable consent requirements.
Where Google advertising services are active, Google and its partners may process device and browsing information to deliver and measure ads. Google provides controls for advertising personalization through its own ad settings. The presence of this disclosure does not mean that ads are active on every page or during every visit.
Opening WhatsApp and other third parties
When you open a generated link, scan its QR code, or follow another external link, the destination service handles the next part of the interaction under its own terms and privacy practices. WhatsApp is operated by Meta. WALinkGen does not control how WhatsApp processes account, device, contact, or message information.
Retention and choices
Information is kept only as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, operational security, dispute handling, or applicable legal obligations. Short-link destinations may need to remain stored while their redirects are active. Contact records may be retained while a request is handled and for reasonable follow-up. You can clear browser preferences locally and use the contact form to ask about a submitted request.
Independent service
WALinkGen is an independent tool and is not affiliated with WhatsApp, Meta, or Google.
